As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Center - Full Time in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Professional in a retail environment, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure atmosphere for everyone onsite. This role involves armed responsibilities and requires driving as part of your duties. You will remain highly visible, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with guests and store personnel. Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at the retail location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate judgement and de-escalation skills.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior and activity, and report any concerns or incidents according to site protocols.
  • Assist with access control, checking identification as required, and maintaining awareness of all entry and exit points.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports and documentation of security-related activities during the shift.
  • Collaborate and communicate with retail staff, management, and local law enforcement when necessary.
