About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Residential Patrol in Highland Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as a mobile patrol officer supporting a residential community, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and help reduce security-related incidents through strong presence and clear communication. This is a driving and armed post, so you will operate a vehicle and carry your issued equipment while documenting observations and assisting residents and staff with professionalism. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and unarmed guard card.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, amenities, and perimeter points to help to identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, and policy violations.
  • Control access through gates, garages, and entry points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs as required, and directing individuals to the appropriate location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with resident concerns, medical calls, fire alarms, and disturbances, and contacting emergency services when needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and service requests in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate pertinent information to the site representative and Allied Universal leadership.
