As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service. You will document observations, support access control, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering a customer-focused experience. Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, platforms, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate public agency responders and/or following post orders for escalation.
• Monitor and control access at designated points, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized entry and prohibited activity.
• Complete incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
