About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Power Plant Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will support a welcoming experience for staff and visitors while documenting observations and partnering with site teams. Requirements

• Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or a college degree.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Carry and maintain assigned duty gear in accordance with licensing requirements and post orders, and document required checks and status updates.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the interior, exterior, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and complete detailed reports for security-related incidents, observations, and/or policy violations.
