As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will operate with integrity while supporting teammates in a caring culture that values agility, reliability, and innovation.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate site contacts and public responders as required by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, checking identification and/or credentials when required, and directing authorized visitors, staff, and contractors according to site procedures.
• Complete required reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site management per established protocols.
