As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. You will interact with patients, visitors, and staff, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity for restricted areas, visitors, vendors, and/or after-hours personnel according to site protocols.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or escalated concerns, and communicate with site contacts, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
