As an Armed Security Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, security-related policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor assigned areas for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, and document observations, incidents, and security-related concerns according to post procedures.
- Support retail operations by assisting with access control, directional guidance, crowd monitoring, and customer interactions while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
