About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Have at least 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas roles only.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to address issues as they arise.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and promote a secure environment.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and first responders during incidents when necessary, following established protocols.
Demonstrate professionalism and a strong customer service orientation while interacting with staff, visitors, and the public at the location.
