As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Hot Springs National Park, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while supporting daily operations. Requirements

• Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, corrections, military OR 5+ years armed security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and assigned security-related procedures at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or notifying site leadership as directed.
• Control access at entrances and restricted areas by verifying identification, monitoring visitor check-in processes, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and logs, and handle assigned equipment and firearms in accordance with company policy and all applicable laws.
