You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to location staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a technology facility.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the interior, exterior, and perimeter areas, checking doors, gates, loading areas, and critical infrastructure spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor alarms, access control activity, and surveillance systems; investigate irregular conditions and coordinate appropriate responses consistent with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notification of management and/or emergency services, and maintaining scene control until relieved.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and security-related observations; communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership and location stakeholders during shift turnovers.
