Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this armed post, you will support daily operations with professionalism and integrity while working as part of a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team committed to people first.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out armed, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, courtyards, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access activity and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, while documenting observations, incidents, and/or interactions with accuracy.
  • Support personnel and visitors by giving directions, addressing routine concerns, and communicating with supervisors and/or public agencies when needed.
