About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Have 6 months+ armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and/or staff by following post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document actions taken according to site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the healthcare location, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or authorization, and assisting with visitor management procedures as directed by post orders.
  • Complete security-related reports, incident logs, and shift activity documentation; communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts as needed.
