As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate conflict resolution techniques.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide assistance to customers and staff as required.
Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the retail environment, reporting any irregularities or incidents according to company protocol.
Work collaboratively with retail staff and Allied Universal team members to address concerns and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
Document observations and incidents accurately in daily activity reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors.
