Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and calls for service, control access as needed, and document observations with clear communication. Requirements

Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card and/or armed guard license.
Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the proper chain of command.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of designated areas, including interior spaces and the perimeter, while monitoring for unusual activity that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
Control access by verifying identification, authorizations, and vehicle credentials as required, documenting entries, and directing individuals to the appropriate points of contact.
Complete timely security-related reports and logs, including patrol observations, incident documentation, and shift handoffs, using written and/or electronic systems as required.
