About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rover in Scottsdale, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

• Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial services location by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and local public partners as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter checkpoints; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and security-related systems such as cameras, intrusion alarms, and visitor management tools, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
• Carry, handle, and store assigned firearm and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal requirements, post orders, and applicable laws, completing required reports and documentation.
