Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas while maintaining awareness of unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and support authorized entry procedures while helping to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited activities.
  • Perform assigned armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site post orders, including maintaining professional presence, reporting hazards, and following prescribed response protocols.
