Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in an education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry as directed, while documenting observations, reporting unusual activity, and communicating with campus personnel and/or first responders when needed.
• Support a professional environment by enforcing applicable rules, maintaining a visible presence, and completing required reports related to daily activities, incidents, and/or patrol findings.
