Requirements

A minimum of one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
An armed guard card or armed guard license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns within the manufacturing and industrial location.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
Operate and maintain assigned security equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company guidelines and site-specific requirements.
Work collaboratively with site personnel, Allied Universal team members, and local law enforcement as needed.
Complete written reports and documentation related to security-related incidents, activities, and observations.
Enforce access control policies, verifying credentials and authorizations for employees, contractors, and visitors throughout the location.
