About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Lead in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 3 years of experience as military police, a corrections officer, or an armed security professional, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transit location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, local authorities, and/or designated personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit-related buildings, offices, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and support visitor and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site directives and post orders.
  • Prepare accurate reports related to incidents, patrol activity, and/or daily operations, and assist with following established protocols during alarms, medical events, and other emergencies.
