About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Guard in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Possess 3 or more years of Military Police or Corrections Officer or Armed Security experience, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and/or surrounding perimeter locations, with working conditions that may vary by assignment.
• Monitor access points, screen for unauthorized activity, and help to deter misconduct, trespassing, and/or policy violations through a visible presence and routine inspection activities.
• Support transportation operations by reporting hazards, suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or maintenance concerns, while following post orders and applicable use of force guidelines.
