As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy cultural arts location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support guests, staff, and performers with clear communication and strong customer service. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and work as part of a team that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, a caring people-first culture, teamwork, and integrity. Armed guard card/license required.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience or 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years' security experience.
  • Have an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visiting performers by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of lobbies, backstage corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with venue management and/or local first responders as needed.
  • Monitor entrances, screening points, and restricted areas, verifying credentials, managing lines, and assisting with crowd flow during events, load-ins, and load-outs.
  • Complete detailed security-related reports and shift logs, document unusual activity, and maintain assigned equipment and issued firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws.
