With an Armed Guard Card or License and a valid driver’s license, you will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, document security-related activity, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be able to demonstrate 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government location by following site-specific policies, access control procedures, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or public agency partners as needed.
  • Document security-related incidents, patrol activity, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate relevant information during shift turnover.
  • Carry assigned duty gear in accordance with post orders, maintain required certifications, and follow use-of-force guidelines and reporting requirements.
