Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, observe campus-related activity, and document incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to site expectations.
  • Support emergency preparedness efforts by communicating with local responders, assisting with evacuations and/or lockdown procedures, and following established response guidelines.
