About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in New Port Richey, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors while delivering customer service. This is an armed and driving post. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Have an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Patrol on foot and/or by vehicle in an armed capacity to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and support orderly operations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, requesting law enforcement and/or medical assistance, and completing required actions.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, monitoring visitor flow, and directing employees, contractors, and visitors in accordance with post orders.
  • Prepare clear written reports and maintain logs of patrols, incidents, and notable activity, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and location representatives.
