About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Captain in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and/or hazards, promptly reporting observations to the appropriate parties.
  • Maintain awareness of the environment and communicate with site personnel and/or law enforcement as necessary.
  • Operate and maintain assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company protocols and local regulations.
  • Prepare clear and concise written reports related to incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by site protocols.
