About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Captain in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
Monitor for suspicious activity and/or hazards, promptly reporting observations to the appropriate parties.
Maintain awareness of the environment and communicate with site personnel and/or law enforcement as necessary.
Operate and maintain assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company protocols and local regulations.
Prepare clear and concise written reports related to incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by site protocols.
