Join Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support tenants, visitors, and staff with professional customer service. You will document activity, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with integrity and teamwork. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card or License, with opportunities to grow in a reliable, innovative, people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Baton Certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including receiving reports, assessing conditions, and coordinating notifications per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify maintenance and access issues.
  • Monitor access control points and building activity, verifying credentials when required, addressing unauthorized entry attempts, and documenting security-related concerns for management review.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate relevant updates during shift transitions, and support Allied Universal leadership with site-specific tasks as assigned.
