Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Night Driver Patrol in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving patrol professional supporting a busy retail location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to calls, and assist shoppers and store teams with calm, clear communication. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset as you document activity, report concerns, and represent an agile, reliable, and innovative partner on every shift.

Requirements

• 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree is required.
• Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• 21+ Years of Age is required.
• Level III Armed Certification Texas Only is required.
• Security Experience ‐ 5+ Years is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with store leadership and contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas and the perimeter to help to deter theft, trespassing and/or other unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, potential hazards and/or policy violations, and report observations through radio communications and detailed incident documentation.
• Control access to restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and assist with crowd management during peak shopping periods, special events and/or store openings and closings.
