As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and incidents with calm, professional communication. You will support patients, donors, visitors, and staff with strong customer service while documenting activity and partnering with site leadership. Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A State, County, or City issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, donors, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearm and other authorized equipment in compliance with company policies, post orders, and applicable laws; use sound judgment and report concerns promptly.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, trespassing, and/or threatening behavior; request additional assistance when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout interior areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity reports, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
