Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and provide strong customer service through clear communication. You will respond to concerns with professionalism, document activity, and support store teams through teamwork and integrity. This post requires an armed guard card and/or license.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for assistance as needed and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances, stock areas and the exterior perimeter.
• Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Carry authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, site instructions, and applicable laws, and help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and professional communication.
• Monitor and/or operate security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access controls when assigned, and complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and guest interactions.
