Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol in Richmond, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires both armed responsibilities and driving as part of your daily duties. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the government facility.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors while upholding the expectations of the location.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related issues and assist with access control as needed.
  • Support law enforcement or emergency personnel as directed during incidents or emergencies.
