As an Armed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents while delivering standout customer service. You will communicate clearly with store teams and respond to situations with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed post requiring Level III Armed Certification.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entrances, and perimeter areas such as parking lots and loading zones, with working conditions varying by assignment.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, theft-related incidents, and/or medical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site management and public responders as needed.
• Monitor camera systems and other security-related equipment, observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior that may help to deter incidents, and report concerns to site leadership.
• Complete written reports and document incidents, patrol activity, and corrective actions, maintaining proper care and control of issued equipment in accordance with post orders and applicable laws.
