Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed patrol officer, where you will perform visible patrols, monitor assigned areas, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and screen individuals, packages, and/or personal belongings in accordance with site procedures, helping to support orderly entry and restricted area control.
  • Carry and maintain assigned armed post equipment in accordance with company standards and site rules, while remaining prepared to respond to security-related situations as directed.
