Join Allied Universal in an armed patrol role at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with supervisors, law enforcement, and/or designated personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or sensitive locations for authorized access, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Support site operations by completing routine reports, maintaining awareness of post orders, and following Allied Universal and client-directed protocols for security-related incidents and daily activities.
