As a Security Officer - Armed Media Patrol in Springfield, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic tech and media location. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication.   • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior, with attention to the unique needs of a media and technology environment.
  • Monitor premises for unusual activity and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors, assisting with access control and providing information as needed.
  • Support Allied Universal management in maintaining compliance with client-specific and legal requirements for armed personnel.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in a thorough and timely manner, following company and client protocols.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
