As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by patrolling retail and mall locations, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service. This is an armed and driving post, where you will be responsible for responding to incidents and supporting a secure environment for all. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III armed certification for positions in Texas only.
  • Have 5 or more years of security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to assist with maintaining a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and perimeter, both inside and outside the premises, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, disturbances, and/or other unwanted activities within the location.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or property damage to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
  • Interact professionally with the public, employees, and visitors, providing assistance as needed while maintaining a courteous demeanor.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and client policies and procedures, including those related to carrying and handling firearms in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
