About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Driver in Kissimmee, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government corrections location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is an armed, driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and support a people-first culture built on integrity, teamwork, and innovative, reliable service.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card and/or armed guard license is required.
  • A minimum of 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience or a college degree is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by following post orders, site-specific procedures, and security-related protocols within a government corrections location.
  • Control access at assigned points by verifying identification, logging entry and exit activity, issuing visitor credentials as directed, and reporting irregularities through the chain of command.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with facility personnel and/or emergency services as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas such as entrances, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Complete detailed written reports and electronic logs, document incidents and corrective actions, preserve observations, and maintain required documentation for shift turnover.
