About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Inmate Transport in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Perform armed patrol duties on foot and/or by vehicle, including regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations as assigned.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Operate and monitor access control points, check identification and/or credentials as directed by post orders, and help to deter unauthorized entry and prohibited activities.
  • Complete required documentation such as activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site policy.
