Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and engage with visitors and staff to provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe and report any unusual occurrences.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support a secure environment for staff, visitors, and patients.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as needed to support emergency response and incident resolution.
Operate assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to security-related procedures, emergency response, and healthcare facility protocols.
