As a Patrol Armed Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Certification is required for positions located in Texas.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches of protocol.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and visitors to address questions and provide assistance as needed.
  • Follow all protocols for armed security-related posts, including the proper handling and storage of assigned equipment.
