Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience are required.
An active armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
Monitor access points and verify identification in accordance with site-specific policies.
Document and report any unusual activities, incidents, or security-related concerns observed during patrols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as required during incidents.
Remain alert to potential security-related threats or hazards within the healthcare environment and communicate concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter inappropriate behavior and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.
