As a Security Officer - Armed Full-Time in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
Observe and report any security-related irregularities or suspicious activity in the assigned area.
Collaborate with staff, visitors, and/or patients to address security-related concerns as needed.
Maintain clear and detailed documentation of incidents and daily activities according to Allied Universal standards.
Support access control procedures and assist with visitor management as required by the site.
Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols to help maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
