As an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents through strong presence and communication. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and support staff, visitors, and patients with respectful customer service. Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • Maintain Act 235 Qualification in Pennsylvania Only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders in a healthcare setting.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity and helping to deter prohibited behavior.
  • Control access to the facility by checking identification, managing authorized entry points, and directing individuals to appropriate departments and waiting areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document incident details, and communicate shift activity to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
