As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergencies that may arise in a healthcare setting.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment for all individuals on site.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as needed to address incidents and provide support during emergency response activities.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to those on site.
  • Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and/or other defensive equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
