As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. You will maintain a visible presence, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach. Requirements

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement military or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related risks.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain awareness of activities within the facility.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and the healthcare location.
  • Collaborate with staff and visitors to provide assistance and information while upholding security-related protocols.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines for armed security professionals, including proper handling and storage of assigned equipment.
