As an armed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and communication skills.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and visitors to address security-related concerns and provide assistance when appropriate.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established protocols.
  • Participate in emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns, as directed by site-specific procedures.
