Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Avondale, AZ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or security-related incidents.
• Monitor for suspicious activities and report any security-related concerns in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering the premises as required.
• Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel during incidents or emergencies.
• Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift to quickly respond to changing situations or emergencies.
• Operate and maintain security-related equipment as required for the post.
