As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will also interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the location.
• Provide customer service to the location by assisting with security-related needs and inquiries.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following appropriate protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with emergency response activities as required, following established procedures.
• Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and location staff to support a secure environment.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and remain prepared to address security-related situations as they arise.
