About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Site Watch in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and other personnel while representing Allied Universal.
  • Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies at the location.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to a variety of security-related situations, adapting to changing conditions at the location.
