Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or possess an Associates Degree with at least 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Handcuffing certification is preferred.
Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal at government locations.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or contractors in a professional and courteous manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.
Participate in emergency response activities as required, including coordinating with law enforcement or emergency personnel when needed.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and promote a secure environment.
