As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. This role requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities. You will remain visible, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and a caring, people-first culture.

Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal, providing customer service to individuals at the location.
  • Help to deter incidents and respond to critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed patrol as required by the post assignment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help maintain a secure environment, adapting to the unique needs of a government location.
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and/or other incidents as needed, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and/or other individuals at the location, providing guidance and assistance as needed while upholding security-related standards.
  • Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to armed patrol duties and the operation of security-related equipment.
